This near-real-time audio stream originates from an infrasound sensor at Pigeon Hill, Steuben, ME, USA (unaffiliated station PHME). The low-frequency sounds of the atmosphere have been sped up by a factor of 60× to make them audible. As a result, frequencies have been transposed upward about 6 octaves. Each successive audio program (separated by a brief pause) compresses the last 4 hours into exactly 4 minutes of listening time.
